Allies of Skin's 35% Vitamin C+ Perfecting Serum is a next-generation waterless 35% Vitamin C serum supercharged with an antioxidant complex comprising of Superoxide Dismutase and Glutathione for intense brightening, repair and collagen rebuilding. 25% Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid & 10% Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate - highly stable forms of Vitamin C - visibly brighten, fade dark spots, and refine the skin, while providing skin with protection against free radicals and toxicity.

Key Ingredients:

10% Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate - An oil-soluble form of Vitamin C that can better penetrate the skin’s epidermis. It combats free radicals, protecting the skin from harmful environmental aggressors, like UV rays and pollution.

Superoxide Dismutase - A potent antioxidant, naturally produced in our cells, that fights against formation of free radicals. Evens out complexion and combats signs of premature ageing and dullness.

Glutathione - A potent antioxidant that helps target photoageing, battles oxidative stress, and reduces the concerns associated with exposure to free radicals. Leaves the skin looking clearer, firmer, and more even.

Is it vegan?
Yes, this product is vegan and does not contain any animal derivate.
Why does this product have a grainy consistency?
This serum contains a high percentage of Vitamin C in a powder form and is suspended in a waterless base. When the product is not stored properly — for example, in a cold area — the formula can crystalize. Shake well before every use to have the formula return to its normal state.
Can the Vitamin C in this product exfoliate my skin?
The 35% Vitamin C+ Perfecting Serum does not exfoliate like acid. You can use this product in your AM skincare routine and an exfoliating acid in your PM routine.
Why does this serum have an oily texture?
This serum has a unique waterless base and, while it's oil-free, it may feel slightly oily. This feeling disappears about 30 seconds after application.
Is this pregnancy safe?
This product is safe for use during pregnancy. We always recommend to ask your doctor prior the use.
Why would you chose the 35% Vitamin C serum over the 20% Vitamin C serum ?
For more experienced Vitamin C users, our 35% Vitamin C serum can offer an intensified approach to brightening and antioxidant support. Higher concentrations are often chosen by those whose skin has already built tolerance and who are looking to target stubborn dullness, uneven tone, or visible signs of aging more aggressively.
Are there specific active ingredients you don't recommend layering on top of one another?
Yes. We don't recommend combining retinoids with acids (AHAs or BHAs) in the same routine, as this can be too intense for most skin types and may cause dryness, irritation, or barrier compromise. Instead, alternate them by using retinol one night and your exfoliating acid on another. Similarly, avoid using multiple acid-containing products together in the same routine—instead, use one in the morning and another in the evening. This approach lets you enjoy the benefits of both without overwhelming your skin.
If I want to layer multiple serums from Allies of Skin – what would be the order of application?
We recommend applying serums in order of consistency, from lightest water-based formulas to heavier oil-based or creamy ones, to ensure optimal absorption and effectiveness. Their serums from thinnest to thickest are: 35% Vitamin C+ Perfecting Serum, Multi Peptides & GF (Growth Factor) Advanced Lifting Serum, Tranexamic & Arbutin Advanced Brightening Serum, Copper Tripeptide & Ectoin Advanced Repair Serum, Vitamin C 20% & Citrus Cells Advanced Light Reflecting Serum, and Beta Glucan & Resveratrol Advanced Hydrating Serum.
However, exfoliating serums like our Azelaic & Kojic Advanced Clarifying Serum and Mandelic Advanced Pigmentation Night Serum should always be applied first, regardless of their consistency, as they prepare the skin's surface to accept other actives.
