What is the difference between volume foam and mousse?
A mousse quite often is in a pressurised container so is classed as an aerosol and the formulation itself has a more solid structure so it may be trickier to apply than a softer foam that glides and distribute very easily through hair.
How does volume foam work?
Volume Foam is enriched with Sam's volumising and thickening active Voluminis™. Voluminis™ is a dual action active, it works by creating a cationic (positive) charge which pushes strands apart for all over volume and by increasing the density of each individual strand for thicker hair. Voluminis™ may increase volume by up to 30%.
Does Volume Foam works the same as a mousse?
Sam and Team McKnight believe this is a hero formulation, easier to apply evenly through the hair than a mousse.
Should I air-dry or blow-dry after applying the foam?
Air-drying gives all over body alongside keeping your natural hair texture. Blow-drying amplifies volume and roots for a bolder look.
Does the foam include heat protection?
Yes. It protects hair up to 230’C. Ideal for blowdrying , and even following with styling tools such as curling tongs or hair straighteners.
Does the foam leave hair feeling crunchy?

The Science

Voluminis™ is a novel copolymer of two molecules: a cationic monomer that coats the hair to form a film that creates cationic charge pushing hair away from each other and creating volume, whilst the wheat protein penetrates into the cortex to push fibres away from each over internally which thickens the hair. Instructions For Use

Apply Cool Girl Volume Foam to damp hair and blow dry as usual.
To create volume and lift, blow dry the roots upwards or tip head upside down until 80% dry, then flip back and smooth the mid-lengths and ends by blow drying with a hairbrush.
